There are many websites which will give you the technical specification of every sewing machine imaginable. Whilst these websites tell you how many stitches and features a particular series of machines may have they never tell you how enjoyable the machines are to use or how problematic they can be under specific circumstances.
This is not just a website of endless lists and features, this website was written by people who love to sew and not people who just want to sell. We (the staff at Affordable Sewing Machines) like to play and through play we have gained a great deal of experience of good and not so good sewing machines!
When choosing a machine think about the sewing that you do now and what you may want to do in the future, don’t just buy for today as you may find yourself wishing you’d chosen the next model up. Be realistic – if you know that you’re going to be using the machine a lot buy a higher quality machine, it’s more cost effective in the long run. It’s also important to test drive your machine before you buy. We don’t simply sell sewing machines, we’re selling our knowledge, experience and we’re also selling sewing – a wonderful pastime that is addictive!
